November 19, 2009 in Hanoi  MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Between Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI), Korea And National Institute for S&T Policy and Strategy Studies (NISTPASS), Vietnam

The Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) and the National Institute for Science and Technology Policy and Strategy Studies (NISTPASS), desirous of promoting closer ties and greater understanding between Korea and Vietnam, and recognizing the mutual benefits that may be derived from a program of collaboration in science and technology policy research, have agreed to extend and increase these activities according to the following understanding:

STEPI and NISTPASS agreed to cooperate as follows:

1. To collaborate in research in science and technology policy where this seems desirable and the available resources permit. Such collaboration may include activities resulting in joint output, research consultations, and the holding seminars and meetings.
2. To exchange information and researchers for short and long-term periods where such exchanges appear desirable and when resources permit.
3. To undertake human resources training and other joint activities as agreed by both institutes.

This Memorandum of Understanding is written in English and will be effective from the day signed by both Parties, throughout the duration of three years. Either Party may, at any time, terminate this Memorandum of Understanding by giving other Party a six months’ advance written notice.
