Implementation of S&T cooperation agreement Laos and the SRV

To implement S&T cooperation
agreement between Laos and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam which signed on 18th
December, 2008 and Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of
Science and Technology (S & T), National S & T Committee of Laos and
the National Institute of S&T Strategy and Policy (NISTPASS) signed on 24th
June, 2009, the NISTPASS working mission leaded by Professor.Mai Ha, Director
of NISTPASS, has visited and worked with National S&T Committee of Laos
from 24th Marchto 30th May, 2010.

Ministry of Science and Technology) is
implementing the project namely "Policy Recommendations on Science,
Technology and Innovation (STI) Strategy in the period 2011-2020 and
Implementation of Law
on High Technologies”. with the support of the United
Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) which is a part of the Forecast
and Conference method on Trends Analysis and Workshop on Delphi Methodology from
7th to 8th July, 2010 in Hanoi.
July 21, 2010 Institute of Strategy and Policy of Science
and Technology signed a Council decision on the establishment of the Institute
of Strategic Studies and Policy Sciences and Technology 2010-2012 term.
Ministry of Science and Technology received the Gold Star Medal

On 10th
January, 2010, Ministry of Science and Technology has held the 50th anniversary
of foundation and received the Gold Star Medal in Hanoi with the participation
of Mr. Truong Tan Sang, member of the Politburo Standing Secretariat of the CPV
Central Committee; Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung, Deputy Prime Minister
Pham Gia Khiem, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan,representatives of ministries, industries, Ministry of S
& T leadership over past period and hundreds of staff who have been working
in this field.
