On 3 March 2011 Mr. Patrick Gilarbert – the newly appointed UNIDO Representative to Vietnam had visited NISTPASS and the Project Team and had the warm exchanges with Dr. Mai Ha, NISTPASS President. The Project always gets the highest attention of the UNIDO Representative and the UNIDO Hanoi Office. Mr. Patrick Gilarbert welcomed the efforts of the Project Team and presented also the strong support for the successful implementation of the Project. The two sides agreed to explore further opportunities for cooperation.

On 21/07/2011, Institute of Strategy and Policy of Science and Technology, Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Science and Technology) in collaboration with the Institute for Development Strategies Science and Technology of China organized scientific conference "Sharing China's experience in the formulation of scientific and technological development. " To create a forum to share experiences in the process of formulating strategies to develop science and technology (S&T).

On 13 April the preparation meeting was held where Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan, Vice President of NISTPASS and Dr. Taeyoung Shin, UNIDO Expert had discussed with the Core Team and agreed for the detailed works of the meeting of the Sub-Committees.
